Yu Nong Khew
Yu Nong Khew is an educator, designer and entrepreneur focused on building systems supporting urban composting for farmers. Her research focuses on zero waste and biodegradable design in the built environment. She is an Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design at The New School and has previously taught at Columbia University GSAPP, Singapore University of Technology and Design, in collaboration with MIT and Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). She has been exhibited internationally, and was named by Architectural Review as one of ten emerging design voices from around the world. Yu Nong’s work also received 1st prize for American Institute of Architects (AIA) Los Angeles Chapter’s 2x8 Verge award. More recently, she was named "Women of Our Time" in Singapore and currently serves as a World Cities Summit Young Leader. Yu Nong has a Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the National University of Singapore.
Alexander F. Cornelius
Alexander F. Cornelius is a designer and artist with multiple years of experience whose interests span a multitude of scales and forms. His work examines the changing role and latent potentials of the architectural drawing within the design process. He is the cofounder of Studio | Khew + Cornelius. Alex's work has been published internationally in a variety of scholarly journals. Alex has worked on various high profile projects such as the Harbin Opera House and Duke University. Prior to graduating from SCI-Arc with a Master of Architecture, Alex obtained a B.A. in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. He held a research and teaching position at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, in collaboration with MIT.
